Texas Box Office and H-E-B celebrate a longstanding partnership

Since the mid-1980s, H-E-B customers have had the exclusive convenience of purchasing tickets to Texas Box Office events, which includes events held at the Frank Erwin Center, Texas Performing Arts, Texas Longhorn Athletics and select others. The relationship began as a mutually beneficial need to give customers easy access to tickets and services in their communities.

“H-E-B is in every part of the community. It was a natural connection because we shared a common purpose and we already had a great relationship with the organization,” said Jimmy Earl, CFE, and Senior Associate Director of the Frank Erwin Center.

After many successful years, H-E-B Business Centers will no longer serve as Texas Box Office ticketing outlets. With customer preferences shifting to online and now mobile purchasing of tickets as the norm, physical ticket outlets are not the most convenient option for our customers. The trend is to move our services onto smart devices for our growing mobile customer base.

“The University and H-E-B working together with our larger Austin community to support our events has been a positive experience for both,” said John M. Graham, Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director of the Frank Erwin Center.

Texas Box Office and The University of Texas at Austin would like to thank H-E-B and its loyal customers for their support throughout the years.
